LOVESTORY 2050 to premiere in London

Filmmaker Harry Baweja is leaving no stones unturned to promote his son Harman Baweja's launch pad LOVESTORY 2050. Producer / director Harry is already shelling out huge monies on a daily basis to promote the film. He is carefully planning his strategies.

According to an insider Harry Baweja has no plan to host a premiere of his forthcoming film featuring his son Harman Baweja and Priyanka Chopra in Mumbai. In fact the Bawejas have decided to hold a lavish premiere in London at Cineworld Feltham on Wednesday 2nd July 2008 7 pm.

If one goes back in time Hrithik Roshan's KRRISH also held a premiere in London at the same place. Seems like LOVESTORY 2050 is going KRRISH way. Recently an event to showcase the film's merchandise was also held, something KRRISH had done when the film was on the verge of release.

All in all hope LOVESTORY 2050 proves what KRRISH did for Roshans.

Boman & Shabana together in SORRY BHAI

The much-appreciated on screen pair Boman Irani and Shabana Azmi returns back together on screen with their forthcoming release SORRY BHAI. They were last seen in HONEYMOON TRAVELS PVT. LTD

Shabana Azmi a well known figure in the Bollywood industry and popular amongst the younger and older crowd will be seen as Boman Irani's wife in Onir's next SORRY BHAI which has been shot in Mauritius.

After having a sensational kissing scene in their previous film, their chemistry was well favored and created a lot of buzz in the industry. Boman Irani and Shabana Azmi are paired once more opposite each other in Onir's Sorry Bhai to give their finest performance all over again.

Onir was looking for such a pair who would be the parents in his film SORRY BHAI. He needed someone who could project onscreen chemistry flawlessly. 'Boman and Shabana make a very cute onscreen couple and I think this is the main essence for them to look excellent in a film' says Onir.

In SORRY BHAI, Shabana and Boman once again play Husband and wife as in HONEYMOON TRAVELS PVT. LTD. Sorry Bhai is about a happy family, the parents and their two sons, each of them have their own values in the changing times but they all dote on each other. Boman and Shabana head for their elder son's (Sanjay) wedding along with their younger son (Sharman) who is a scientist. Soon after that Sharman and his elder brother's fiancee (Chitrangada) find themselves drawn towards each other that they try to hide but a series of events forces them to admit their feelings for each other.

Onir's SORRY BHAI has been shot at dazzling locations in Mauritius with Shabana Azmi, Boman Irani, Sanjay Suri, Chitrangdha and Sharman Joshi in the cast. With fresh music from Gaurav Dayal, Ashwini Malik beautifully scripts the film; Anita Dongre has done the styling. The Presenter for the film is Vashu Bhagnani of Puja Films and Produced and Directed by Onir of Anticlock Films.

''TOM DICK AND HARRY ROCK AGAIN is crazy'' - Nisha Rawal

Her debut film HASTEY HASTEY may not have really brought smiles on the face of Nisha Rawal but she is hardly complaining. In fact she doesn't have much time to complain since not just is she getting ready for the release of her next film which is titled RAFOO CHAKKAR - FUN ON THE RUN, she is also neck deep down shooting for her latest film TOM DICK AND HARRY ROCK AGAIN.

"It has been a crazy experience working on TOM DICK AND HARRY ROCK AGAIN. It was fun to watch TOM DICK AND HARRY and I can already see that the sequel is turning out to be a laugh riot as well", says Nisha who has been paired opposite singer/composer turned actor Mika in the film.

While Mika plays the role of Dick in the film, Tom's part is enacted by Suresh Menon.

"I have just shot for a promotional number with Mika for the film and it's a complete freak out song. It is made for the masses", exclaims Nisha who has forever been known as the 'Chanda Ki Doli' girl (remember the music video with Sonu Nigam?)

ANDAZ APNA APNA magic reiterates on '10 ka Dum'

This is an episode to watch out for! After 13 years the 2 Khans- Aamir Khan & Salman Khan, comeback together on screen, if one is 'charismatic' the other is 'bindaas'. The duo was last seen together in Rajkumar Santoshi's ANDAZ APNA APNA way back in 1995 where they kicked off with their amusing chemistry. Since then it has been ages to watch out the 2 khans together. And now through '10 Ka Dum' the two khans will once again rehash the magic. Watch them on '10 Ka Dum' on Sony Entertainment Television.

Dance with Me – Smita

Smita, the famous pop singer who has the passion for music and dance, started a new production house named ‘I Candy Entertainment’. This production house is planning to launch a talent show on TV called ‘Dance with me’. According to Smita the dance as a career is not taken seriously in Hyderabad, unlike Mumbai where we find more professionals taking to dance. Hence the show, ‘Dance with me’ will be a platform for motivation of the determined Andhra youth to consider dance also as a profession. Due to her close professional association with Bollywood’s popular choreographers, Bosco-Ceasar, she is confident of making a career for the winners of the show.

Teja’s Keka on August 14

Teja’s new project ‘Keka’ with 30 new artists is said to be progressing briskly. Except for a couple of songs and climax scenes the shooting of the film is almost complete. The film under ‘Chitram Movies’ banner is planned to release on August 14. Teja is desperate for a big hit after his first three films ‘Chitram’, ‘Nuvvu Nenu’ and ‘Jayam’. In this regard, he also unveiled few images of the artists without mentioning their names. In the process of acquiring his lost glory, this appears to be a new strategy of Teja.

The recent deal for a few shows in the US between one of the famous music directors and the NRI’s raised many eye brows. This episode seems to be further continuing with yet another proposal, but this time with a popular heroine. The heroine, none other than our bubbly Charmee was to fly to US along with her parents to perform the shows. But this witty girl who is clever enough dealt in a different manner. She called the organizers of the show and said that the visas of her parents are not yet ready for which she has to fly alone. Even before the organizers took a deep breadth, Charmee further added that the amount of her parents’ air-fare should be share equally with her which is a gain both to the organizers and her. The NRI’s are still happy; after all it’s only a loss in the gain.

MERE BAAP PEHLE AAP: a triumph for Shemaroo!

It is now clear that Shemaroo Entertainments' MERE BAAP PEHLE AAP is the third consecutive triumph for the Priyadarshan-Akshaye Khanna team. And that within ten days of its run! Not only did the film get the producers a table profit but it has also succeeded in the Overseas, especially in the UK, where Tip Top has released it to rock steady collections.

The Akshaye-Genelia starrer, which netted around 15.85 crore during just the first week of its run in India, is all set to surpass the collections of the previous Priyan-Khanna films like HUNGAMA and HULCHUL. In fact, MERE BAAP PEHLE AAP is also a profitable venture for most of its distributors, including PVR Films, who have released it in the two biggest territories of India, Bombay and Delhi-U.P.

For those who are not aware, trade classifies the success (or otherwise) of a movie from the distributors point of view.

Aziz Mirza's son co-directs KISMAT KONNECTION

It is time to witness some strong father-son 'konnection' in Shahid Kapoor - Vidya Balan starrer KISMAT KONNECTION. The film is special not just because it marks the return of RAJU BAN GAYA GENTLEMAN director after 5 years but also because it welcomes fresh talent in the form of Haroon Mirza, who is Aziz Mirza's son.

Aziz Mirza's last film was CHALTE CHALTE (2003) that starred Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukherjee. After that he took a long sabbatical, only to make a comeback with the TIPS production KISMAT KONNECTION which is arriving this July.

In the meanwhile Haroon was showing strong inclination towards film making that resulted in the young boy assisting his father during YES BOSS and CHALTE CHALTE. After gaining good exposure behind the camera, he also started writing a script while keeping Shah Rukh Khan in mind as a central protagonist. Though that film didn't materialize, Haroon went on to direct Shah Rukh Khan in advertisements for Airtel and Hyundai Accent.

While his dream of directing Shah Rukh Khan for a big screen extravaganza still remains unfulfilled, Haroon got an opportunity to direct Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan for KISMAT KONNECTION - an offer that he didn't refuse.

With his father's training and constant support helping the cause, Haroon now appears in the credits of KISMAT KONNECTION as the co-director. This makes the film as one of the rare instances when a first time director has been billed as a co-director along with an established film maker.

A few months down the line, there would be one more instance of a first time director coming
together with another filmmaker. THE MAN, a Dharmendra production would see APNE writer Neeraj Pathak making his debut as a director. The film sees Pathak co-directing with Sunny Deol who had made his debut as a director with DILLAGI.

Combo offer: Rajkumar, Ranbir, Katrina!!!

Though HALLA BOL did not do well at box-office but this has not deterred the strong-willed director Rajkumar Santoshi to move ahead.

Santoshi who is known to repeat his favourite actor Ajay Devgan in a series of consecutive movies has chosen SAAWARIYA boy Ranbir Kapoor opposite the current sexiest woman of the world Katrina Kaif in his next project. This forthcoming flick titled as AJAB PREM KI GHAZAB KAHANI will be a romantic comedy.

And if the rumours are to be believed than Ranbir has been offered a whopping amount of Rs. 7 crores for the film. Initially Shahid was approached for the above mentioned movie but for some reasons it didn't happen. And then Santoshi zeroed in on Ranbir. Apart from Ranbir and Katrina it also stars model turned actor Upen Patel. The music of the film will be scored by Pritam.

According to sources the film will soon mount the sets for shooting.

With the amazing combo of handsome hunk Ranbir Kapoor, utterly beautiful Katrina Kaif and the maverick director Rajkumar Santoshi the movie will surely be the one to watch out for!

In this crazy comedy Mallika is playing a feisty, aggressive, quirky and kinky girl Kuhu (Pagli) who likes to dominate men. Whereas on the other hand Ranvir plays a goofy, nerdy and desperate geek Kabir (Ugly) who has been studying engineering for a decade and hasn't had any luck with girls so far. When these two diametrically opposite personalities meet craziest, wackiest things happen.

MERE BAAP PEHLE AAP surprises in Overseas

Here's good news for the fans of the Priyadarshan brand of cinema! While the Indian numbers are still to be declared, the Om Puri, Akshaye Khanna, Paresh Rawal and Genelia D'Souza starrer has surprised in the Overseas, given its cost and cast.

During its first weekend run, MERE BAAP PEHLE AAP has grossed a decent $113,576 in the US, entering the charts at number 23. It has done even better in the UK, grossing $199,469, with a healthy print average of $6,434. The film makes an entry at number 13 in the UK chart! There are also reports of a good performance in Middle East!

What makes MERE BAAP PEHLE AAP's performance all the more creditable is that it had for company the formidable, THE INCREDIBLE HULK.

Now Hansika dons swim suit

Forget AAP KAA SURROOR - THE MOVIE where Hansika Motwani was seen as a plump 16 year old trying to fit into heroine mould alongside Himesh Reshammiya in her first ever leading lady role.

Come 25th July and she would be seen in a new avtar in MONEY HAI TO HONEY HAIN which is going to be her next big screen release. In the film she is all set to surprise her audience which has mainly seen her as a kid in most of her TV and Bollywood appearances. That's because in this Ganesh Acharya directed film, she would be donning a bikini and would be seen emerging from sea.

While doing so, she would be joining the ranks of Kareena Kapoor [TASHAN], Bipasha Basu [DHOOM 2], Celina Jaitley [practically all her films], Esha Deol [DHOOM] and Neha Dhupia [QAYAMAT] who have emerged from sea while being draped in nothing more than just a bikini.

Though till about a few years back she was a household name courtesy tele-serials like KYUNKI SAAS BHI KABHI BAHU THI, SHAKA LAKA BOOM BOOM and DES MEIN NIKLA HOGA CHAND where she was mainly seen as a child artist, in MONEY HAI TO HONEY HAI she is paired opposite Govinda. Well, this is indeed quite a transition for the young girl who would be turning 17 this August.

Himesh's KARZZZZ takes on Aamir, Salman, Sanju, Abhi

If challenging the Deol trio of Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby [APNE] and Bhatts-Emraan Hashmi-Pritam [AWARAPAN] in the year gone by was not enough, Himesh Reshammiya is now turning even more ambitious with his latest venture KARZZZZ.
While his AAP KAA SURROOR - THE MOVIEE had released alongside APNE and AWARAPAN in 2007, Himesh is all set to make headlines in 2008 as well with the release plans of his latest venture KARZZZZ being announced. As per trade circles, this Satish Kaushik film is all set to arrive on 10th October.

So what's special about this date? After all the only other release of the week is OYE LUCKY LUCKY OYE which stars Abhay Deol, Paresh Rawal and Neetu Chandra in the lead!

Well, the case in point here is that its 10th October arrival means that KARZZZZ would be arriving exactly a week after GHAJINI (Aamir Khan), KIDNAP (Sanjay Dutt), WANTED-DEAD OR ALIVE (Salman Khan) and DRONA (Abhishek Bachchan) - all of which are looking at a 2nd October release.

Incidentally there is no release planned for 17th October yet which makes it an open playground for KARZZZZ. However 24th October is fully loaded with GOLMAAL RETURNS, ROADSIDE ROMEO and YUVRAAJ aiming for release.

Though one still waits to see whether any of these films actually hit the marquee on the said date (while GHAJINI seems to be postponing for sure, there is no concrete confirmation around release plans of other films too), one thing is for sure that Himesh Reshammiya has made his intentions loud and clear. He is ready for the BIG challenge and doesn't mind entering the ring in spite of such mighty rivals around.

Arya's new love Kajal

Arya’ which gained name and fame to both Allu Arjun and Sukumar is once again getting ready to repeat its miracles on screen with the new script for its sequel. The latest sensation Kajal has been roped in to play the role of Geeta opposite Allu Arjun. Though Tamanna’s name was heard before, Sukumar changed his decision to cast Kajal, as he felt that she fits into the role perfectly. Yet another interesting point to be noted is that, in this sequal hero Navdeep plays the role of Shiva Balaji, that was originally played by him in ‘Arya’. The film is likely to go on floors from July.

ROCK ON getting lucrative!

After the trailer of Abhishek Kapoor's directorial venture ROCK ON starring Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Prachi Desai, Purab Kohli, Sahana Goswami and Luke Kenny in leads was shown with SARKAR RAJ screenings last week, the film is gaining an important eye from trade circles.

According to the latest buzz there have been a lot of distributors and business houses whose interest in the film has zoomed. It is heard that the makers Excel Entertainment have received various new offers for all rights of the film with the offered figure going as high as 45 crores. For a film with relatively new faces (apart from Arjun Rampal) and DIL CHAHTA HAI fame director Farhan Akhtar making his 'debut' as an 'actor', it's a nice sign for everyone associated with the film.

The film revolves around 4 young boys who put together the greatest band this country had ever seen but never make it. Ten years hence fate conspires to bring them together again and set them on a journey back to where they left off. A soul searching pilgrimage into their past.

The film is scheduled to release on 29th August 2008.

Raining stars in realty shows: what makes it tick?

Ordinary citizens could never have dreamt even in their dreams that they would get a chance to dance with a Salman Khan, a Hrithik Roshan or a Shah Rukh Khan were it not for the multitude of realty shows which are hitting the television screen with a certain ferocity. Such has been its impact that even a Shatrughan Sinha has now decided to throw his hat in the ring with LAUGHTER CHALLENGE-IV. Rani weaves 'Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic' on small screen

Versatile actress and the Bollywood superstar Rani Mukherji weaved her magic on the finale episode of Vodafone Yeh Hai Jalwa. Three finalists Ronit Roy, Husain and Rakhi Sawant will sweat it out for the title of the best Dance team on the Jalwa platform on 15th June 2008.

The versatile actress will be the celebrity guest on the finale episode. Rani who has watched the earlier episodes was in all praises for the show and the format. She is very happy at audience decision and wishes the best to the teams Kal Ke Kalkar, Bindaas Bosses and Chillar Party.

Speaking of her experience the award winning actress said that "I have seen the earlier episodes and wish the teams all the very best. May the best team win".

Akshay Kumar - The 'Kinng' of IIFA!

It was touted as the biggest act at the IIFA Awards in Bangkok, and it was!

The 'kinng' Akshay Kumar, stole the thunder during the grand finale of the recently concluded IIFA awards. As the fireworks blazed and the audience screamed with delight, superstar Akshay Kumar descended on the stage, sliding swiftly across a cable from the extreme end of the auditorium.

Clad in a 'pagdi' and snazzy overcoat, his get-up in SINGH IS KINNG, he was soon joined by a pack of dancers, dressed as sardars, roaring the name of his upcoming release. Among others, he danced on the title track from SINGH IS KINNG, leaving the Thais absolutely bedazzled!

Remarks Akshay, of his exemplary stage performance, 'I'm glad the performance drew a thunderous applause, as the crowd seemed to enjoy it. From the stage, all I could see were just flashing lights though! I hope my audience enjoys SINGH IS KINNG as much as they enjoyed my act. It was only a glimpse of what is to come....'

A Studio 18 release SINGH IS KINNG is set to hit the screens worldwide on August 8 and previews in select locations on August 7.

Bollywood 'Diva' turns glamorous 'Devi'!

we are talking about Kareena Kapoor, who performed as the Goddess of Bollywood recently at the IIFA awards in Bangkok and of course also bagged the best actress award for her power house performance in JAB WE MET.

The actress bagged the maximum number of awards this year for JAB WE MET and she is obviously excited about the superb responses she got for her live performance, making a grand entrance on a huge lotus.

Kareena performed on three main songs apart from 'Dil hara' & 'Chaliya' from TASHAN. "My act ended with 'Mauja hi Mauja' from JAB WE MET," says Kareena smilingly.

Kareena adds, "Manish designed some very colourful outfits. The entire act, I was told, came across as very sexy and glamorous."

Praising Manish Kareena said, "He has worked very hard on my costumes. He sat with the organizers and meticulously worked a theme and costume for every song."

Kareena also credits Shamiak Davar for her creative act. "Shamaik, who has created the act, has come up with a different colour for every theme."

Kareena has no regrets about TASHAN bombing at the box-office. "My performance has been appreciated. In fact my look and style has started a trend of sorts and I am happy about that." And how does she feel about being the best actress of this year? "On top of the world." Beams Bebo.

Genelia excited about first project with Priyadarshan!

For the Hindi film buffs, the name Genelia D'Souza is not unknown. They remember her as the petite actress who played Ritesh Deshmukh's love interest in not one but two films, MUJHE TERI KASAM (2003) and MASTI (2004). She later moved to South and is one of the top names there.

The good news is that Genelia is all set to return to Hindi cinema this Friday via Priyadarshan's laugh riot, MERE BAAP PEHLE AAP and later with JAANE TU YA JAANE NA. Naturally, Genelia is quite excited about working for the first time with the master director, who has an envious track record. She adds that she will make it a point to sign up another Priyan project pretty soon.

While on MERE BAAP PEHLE AAP, it will be interesting to know how Genelia sums up the movie. She calls it a 'cute comedy'!

Kamal Hassan's daughter is 'LUCK'y!!

Kamal Hassan's daughter Shruti Hassan, who was in the news recently for her musical concerts, has signed on Shree Ashtavinayak CineVision Ltd's forthcoming film titled LUCK directed by Soham Shah as her debut film!!

The role suited Shruti Hassan perfectly as her character is involved in a lot of action and Shruti's lean and athletic look fits the bill completely.

Alongwith Shruti LUCK will also star Sanjay Dutt, Imraan Khan, Mithun Chakraborthy, Danny Denzongpa, Ravi Kisshen and Rati Agnihotri.

The shooting of the film will commence from 8th July in South Africa. The music has been given by Salim Suleiman.

The Bollywood Star Shilpa Shetty shares the secret of her fitness, through an instructional video based on the ancient Indian practice of yoga titled 'Shilpa's Yoga' released on DVDs and VCDs by Shemaroo Entertainment.
The yoga video is shot at the beautiful backwaters of Gods own country 'Kerala'. Directed by Manisha Jha, under the instruction of Yoga instructor Shiv Kumar Mishra and produced by Shilpa Shetty, Shilpa's Yoga is very well executed, picturised on the scenic beach with ceremonial elephants and Kalaripayattu fighters in the background and the demonstration of Asanas in a simplified manner .

A release function was held with Shilpa Shetty present with eminent personalities. The event was hosted by Mr. Atul Maroo of M/s Shemaroo Entertainment in association with M/s JMD Limited and Hospitality Partner Hotel Crown Plaza.

Shilpa Shetty says 'It's a management system for life and it is the most holistic approach to life that I have ever come across. It strengthens tones and cures. It works on body, mind and soul. Yoga has had a spectacular impact on my life'.

Kunal Kapoor is brand ambassador for Mahindra's Logan

Kunal Kapoor may not have had a release this year so far but the actor has been quite busy with various endorsements.

Most recently the handsome hunk has been roped in as the brand ambassador for Mahindra’s car ‘Logan’. Bollywood Hungama spoke to the talented actor to get some more details on the same, “Yes I am the brand ambassador for Mahindra’s Logan. I have shot around 4 commercials for them which should be on air anytime next week. The storyline of the first commercial revolves around the sense of individuality,” says Kunal.

In fact, Mahindra has also extended the promotional campaign for the car through the website ‘www.butwhy.in.’ In Kunal’s own words, “Butwhy.in is something which Mahindra wants to bring forth through the Logan campaign. Whenever we go to buy a car there are always some or the other features which we have to compromise for. ‘WHY’ is the question that Mahindra puts forth through this new campaign,” signs off Kunal.

Well all you girls out there are surely going to see a lot more of Kunal once the campaign goes on air.

Sriram’s Premothsavam launched

Actor Sriram’s Namitha and newcomer Hema Malini co starring Premothsavam , to be directed by K.Rajeshwar, was launched on 6th June. Chief guest Sagar did the honors at the muhurat. An ANKK Movies’ production the film is produced by Ashok.K.Kotwani and will be a bilingual being made in both Tamil and Telugu simultaneously.

“Though the film has a one hero and two heroines it is not a triangle love story.” Leading man Sriram said “I play the role of a person working at a satellite company. Premosthsavam is a good and colorful family entertainer.”

“We will begin the regular shooting today itself. Our next schedule is in Malayasia” director K.Rajeshwar said “ANKK is a Bombay based company. We will also be introducing the music director Ethish, cinematographer and the production house with this film.”

Nazar, Vivek and Raghu Babu are part of the film’s supporting cast.

Tarun in a Supreme film

Music house Supreme is producing a new film that will star Tarun in the lead role and will be directed by E.V.V.Sathi Babu. The remaining cast and crew, including the leading lady, are yet to be finalized and other details sorted out. The film will begin shooting once Tarun completes his film with director Krishna Vamsi, which stars Genelia as the leading lady.

Kamal to rope in Kajol for Marmayogi

Even before the controversies of his multi character Dasavatharam have died down Kamal Hassan is in news once again because of his yet-to-be-launched film Marmayogi. The actor is seen sporting a beard now days, in preparation for his role in the film. The film’s pre production work has already begun. On the other hand Kamal is supposed to have approached Hindi film actress Kajol for the role of his leading lady in the film. Kamal had earlier approached Kajol for a role in Chachi 420, that was eventually portrayed by Tabu. Let’s hope this time round Kajol will not be able to refuse the offer.

Nithin’s Victory postponed

Actor Nithin’s film Victory will be releasing on June 27th instead of June 6th. The film, which was originally to be released on May 30th, was postponed to June 6th in view of the other big film’s releasing during that time. The reason for the second delay in the film’s release has not been divulged. Hopefully there will not be any more delays and Nithin’s fans will get to see their favorite star in a completely different role. Nithin had worked extra hard to develop a lean body with 6 pack abs.

Venky’s Chintakayala Ravi at a speedy progress

Venky’s current project ‘Chintakayala Ravi’ directed by Yogi is making a speedy progress. Presently the shooting of some prominent scenes and also few songs is happening at US.

The experiences of Indian software engineers in US inspired the director to portray it on silver screen into two and half hour entertainer. Venky plays the role of a software engineer who goes to US. After reaching the destination, with his confusing nature, he not only confuses himself but also others. After that, how he came out of all the confusions is all about.

Glam dolls Anushka and Mamta Mohandas will share the screen besides Venky. Other important cast includes Dr Bramhanandam, MS Narayana, Ali, Venu Madhav, Ajay, Ganesh and so on. While Nallamalapu Srinivas alias Bujji is the producer of the film, story and dialogues were inked by Kona Venkat, music by Vishal Sekhar, Art by Sreekar Prasad and camera by Ravindra Babu.

Rohit Roy brings Tabu - Naseer, Sanjay Dutt-Suniel Shetty together

Rohit Roy's new avatar as a talk-show host on Zoom has him excited like never before. "We shot seven episodes with two sets of guests each in three days. That's some kind of a record. I'm getting whoever I want without having to run from pillar to post. That makes me feel very reassured. I've always been a Sanjay Dutt fan. After the show I've become an even bigger fan. We all thought we'd have to wait long for him to arrive for the recording. But he actually arrived 15 minutes early. No one has been moody or temperamental with me."

Says Rohit, "I'm interacting with the best talents in the business and learning from them. Can you imagine I got a chance to interview Naseeruddin Shah and Tabu together? One is a completely trained actor. The other is absolutely untrained. And yet they are such monuments. I've already worked with Naseerbhai in my short-film Rice Plate. Now I want to work with Tabu."

Besides the guests already mentioned, Rohit has recorded episodes with directors Sanjay Gupta-Madhur Bhandarkar, father-daughter Mahesh Bhatt-Pooja Bhatt, best friends Koena Mitra-Tanushree Dutta, Dino Morea-Neha Dhupia, and Sharmila Tagore-Nagesh Kukunoor.

"I am learning Marathi" - Priyanka Chopra

Nah, not because Raj Thackeray demands that of every North Indian immigrant. Priyanka Chopra is simply gearing up for her part in Vishal Bhardwaj's Kaminay. Screen caught up with a trim and tanned Priyanka as soon as she got back from the outdoor shoot of Dostana in Miami. On the sets of Fashion she lists her six releases this year and other developments

Togged in a lime green and ivory mini-dress, Priyanka Chopra sports a healthy, tanned, beach look. She walks in with a coffee mug and gives Kangana a brief smile, "Cut it, take OK," declares Madhur Bhandarkar jubilantly. After the shot, she gives us a "Let's go" signal . Acting sure comes easy to this 24-year-old! We snuggle into the corner of the room and flick on the dictaphone as the erstwhile Ms World gets chatting.

The year ahead sure looks busy for you.
Thank God for that! I am back after being in a sabbatical for a year and half. Love Story 2050 will be my first release after Salaam-e-Ishq. I have been working on Drona, Love Story 2050, Fashion, God Tussi Great Ho, Chamku and Dostana all this while and it 's been a long wait for my releases.

Apart from Harman, what was the exciting part of Love Story 2050 (LS)?
(Laughs) Well, the most exciting part about Love Story is the film itself. It is the first of its kind in India people haven't seen SFX of this kind in Indian cinema.

Not even in Krrish?
Not even in Krrish. Sure it was India's first superhero film with fantastic SFX. But LS is India's first sci-fi film. I am proud to be a part of both these films. The SFX in LS will set a high bar in India.

This is your first double role too, How have you made both the parts different?
Both the roles are different in terms of the character sketches as well as looks. The first part is of Sana, a present-day girl - she's very soft spoken, poetry loving, diary writing girl living in Australia. She's sweet and feminine, just 21. So I have kept a very soft look with light brown hair and eyes, peaches and cream complexion and a softer voice unlike mine that is of a much deeper quality.
Zayesha, on the other hand, is a pop star in the year 2050. She's boisterous, arrogant, loves herself - yet she's a girl inside, she feels lonely, as she doesn't have much of a family. Her parents died in a car crash and she only has her Nani who incidentally doesn't live with her. She lives with her little teddy bear named Boo, he's her governess cum best buddy - cuts fruits for her, takes out her clothes. Her pop album is called ME. Everything about her is herself. She's tomorrow's woman that yesterday spoke of. She's an enigma, a mystery. I wanted to make her drastically different so I gave her red hair darker skin tone, grey eyes and her clothes are of darker hues - black, blues and browns. Yet she's feminine enough for the hero to fall in love with.

Your co-star Harman is said to be a Hrithik Roshan look-alike.
Hrithik Roshan was compared to Shah Rukh Khan and Shah Rukh to Dilip Kumar and Shahid Kapoor to Shah Rukh. Every actor is compared to someone who's already been there. I was also compared to others. But everyone creates hisher own space in the Hindi filmdom. I don't think there is any comparison between Hrithik and Harman in terms of screen presence and also in terms of their approach to work. Having worked with both of them, the only thing that's common between them is that they are both very good to work with.

What sets Harman apart ?
Harman has very emotional and expressive eyes, which is very important for an actor. This film does not look like his first. He's very professional - like he is always on time. He knows filmmaking very well as he has studied it. He definitely has an edge over a lot of newcomers. This being a home production, he's been a part of everything -from SFX, direction to production and that also gives him an edge .

Harman is a newcomer, so the onus of LS rests on your dainty shoulders, doesn't it?
I don't think so, because the film is bigger than either of us. Generally love stories are small, cute, frothy films that depend on the actors. Although performances do matter even in this case, the story, the script and the effects are much larger. LS is much larger than either of us. So the top billing goes to the film and not to Harman or me. Which is why I am not taking any pressure. People will go watch the film and then there will be the curiosity about the new boy. I will come somewhere in between. (Laughs)

Of your half dozen releases in this calendar year, what will come next?
After LS, it will be Chamku. I have done several films with Bobby Deol including Dostana. I am very close to him and his family. Sunny Deol, after all, was my first film hero. It's great to be back with the Deols always.

Close on the heels is God Tussi Great Ho, How's the God in the film? Do you get to share the screen with him?
You will see a lot of God in the film and he's very funny too. It's a hilarious movie and the music is very good. I don't share screen space with Mr Bachchan playing God. I am with Salman Khan and Sohail Khan.

Are you through with Goldie Behl's Drona? It seems like a period drama.
Oh no! Drona is not a period film. It is based in today's time and age. It's a timeless epic story with big and beautiful visuals. It's the first of its kind film. Kids are going to love it with the action and magic in it. The shooting is over and effects are being worked upon .

How's Fashion going? How much has it been canned so far?
We are through with 70 per cent of Fashion. My character has a great graph spanning over two years of her life. She wants to be a model, becomes one - this is the story of her rise and fall. Each part of the film is very vital because I have lots of different looks through the film. Fashion makes me nervous because I was in the fashion industry only for three months from Miss India to Miss World. Noyonika Chatterjee taught me how to walk the ramp then and I insisted that she be a part of the film as well. All the characters in the film have turned out beautifully. Madhur (Bhandarkar) has really held it together. It's not a dark film. It's very emotional .

Isn't the story almost like a biopic?
I drew a lot of references from my life. Just like the character in the film, I came from a small city with stars in my eyes. But the difference is that I could handle it while she couldn't. Lot of stories in the film are based on real life incidents too.

How does it feel to be the busybee?
Phew! I have to finish five films this year. I go home at twelve, take off the make-up, sleep, wake up at six and then get back to work. I have too much to do and have to finish it fast because I have to prepare for Vishal Bhardwaj's film.

Are you practising some ethnic strain of Hindi for the film? And why is the film called Kaminay?
Ha, ha, because the film is about Kaminay people. I have a lot of homework to do in the film. I am learning Marathi for it. It's a beautiful language with so much spunk to it. Kaminay, by the way, is an action comedy - it has nothing to do with Romeo And Juliet.

How was your Dostana schedule in Miami? Are you wearing a bikini in the film?
Miami was my best outdoors yet because I have a lot of cousins there. I enjoyed working with my director, Tarun and Karan of course is such an involved and indulgent producer. It was like a big party. To answer your question now - no, I don't wear a bikini in Dostana, I wear appropriate beach-wear though.

Last but not the least, What's Your Rashee? What you are doing in it?
It's a very interesting part for me and nothing that an Indian actor has ever done before. Only Ashutosh Gowariker can handle a subject like this. It is a romantic comedy with many hilarious layers to it. It is going to be a demanding film for me.

Hrithik signed as a goodwill ambassador for NDTV Imagine's new show
