Hrithik Roshan back to his daredevilry

Hrithik Roshan, the superhero of Bollywood is back to doing daring action stunts. This time it will not be for a movie but for a commercial that he shot lately. Hrithik was in South Africa recently shooting for a Godrej Cinthol TV Commercial under the direction of Abhinay Deo who is directing Aamir Khan Productions' DELHI BELLY.

Our source informs, ''Hrithik shot for the TV commercial in South Africa for four days and it required him to jump from a great height and also a lot of running, putting pressure on his knees. After a long time Hrithik has done action sequence. Even during the shooting of his upcoming film KITES, he would not only avoid action sequences but also be very careful about strenuous dancing, which could have put pressure on his knees.''

It may be recalled that Hrithik had injured his knees during the shooting of super hero flick KRRISH, which got aggravated during the shoot of Ashutosh Gowarikar's JODHAA AKBAR. Since that time Hrithik has undergone surgery two times-first in Mumbai and second in Los Angeles.

Hrithik signed as a goodwill ambassador for NDTV Imagine's new show

Bollywood stars making their presence felt on various T.V. shows is no longer a new phenomenon. While most of the stars make fleeting appearances on reality shows around the time when their film releases, some are even seen hosting shows on T.V.

The latest superstar who would be seen on T.V. (albeit in a new avatar) is Hrithik Roshan. Hrithik has been signed on as the goodwill ambassador for Junoon… Kuchh Kar Dikhaane Ka, the exciting new musical show on NDTV Imagine. Celebrating the shows' cultural and artistic diversity, Hrithik will lend his support to the participants of the Sufi, Folk and Filmy genres on the show.

Announcing Hrithik's association with the show, Shailja Kejriwal, EVP Content, NDTV Imagine said, "We are very excited as this is the first time that a channel has associated with a celebrity at this level. Hrithik's role is very unique - he is not a host, judge or performer. He is here to lend his support to the participants. What makes this association special is that we truly believe that he embodies the spirit of Junoon and epitomizes the passion which is present in all the talented artists that are part of the show! He symbolizes the personality of the show brilliantly!"

Even Hrithik seemed all excited on being associated with the show. The talented actor said "I am very pleased to be associated with NDTV Imagine and Junoon. I can identify with the participants and their desire to achieve success with their god-given talent. I relate to their positive and exuberant spirit because I believe that I have a similar Junoon - be it my work or my personal life."

Junoon… Kuchh Kar Dikhaane Ka is an exciting new musical show that will decide the country's most popular genre of music, namely Folk, Sufi and Filmy. Each team will have 6 contestants and will be mentored by an eminent personality from the music industry, namely, Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan for the Sufi Team, Ila Arun for the Folk Team and Anand Raj Anand for the Filmy Team.

"Hrithik Roshan'' Gives Name To New Born Baby ''Hridhaan''

Ace Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan has named his newly born baby as ‘Hridhaan,’ which means ‘GreSuzanne With Hridhaanat Heart.’

The baby was born at 11:27 am at Mumbai’s Lilavati hospital on Thursday, May 1.

Hridhaan is Hrithik and Suzanne’s second child. Their first son Hrehaan, was born on March 28 2006.

Both the sons were named after Hrithik’s first letter ‘H’.

Hrithik was seen beaming with pride. The baby looked so cute and similar to Hrehaan that he was not able to take his eyes away from his baby.

Hrithik’s father-in-law, Sanjay Khan stated, “Hrithik and Suzanne's bundle of joy is called Hridhaan. The name means 'great heart'. By God’s grace, both mother and baby are doing fine.”

About Hrithik as a Papa, “He is a very good and responsible father and is very comfortable with his new son,” Nana Sanjay said.

Mr. Khan also disclosed, “Well, Hridhaan is a good mixture of his good looking parents. Both his parents have good eyes and Hridhaan has large eyes most likely Hrithik”.

Now Suzanne and the baby are at home and are doing well.

“Hrehaan is extremely fascinated and curious about his little brother. He is very protective about the baby and keeps telling everyone to look after him.” How sweet!

Hrithik Roshan's notes to his Son!

He may have become dad all over again only recently, and the congratulatory remarks going his way are many. Never mind his fatherhood, the actor, funnily, is still getting congratulatory wishes for his performance in Ashutosh Gowariker's Jodhaa Akbar . And Duggu doesn't mind it one bit. In fact, he just hits the ceiling with joy if you comment on how brilliant he and the film were. "The compliments coming my way for Jodhaa... haven't stopped," he tells us, wide-eyed. "I gave the film my every thing. There were several doubts and anxieties that crossed my mind in the process of shooting for it. While performing some scenes, I wondered if the audiences would throw eggs at me. You see, one is never too sure how a film is going to be perceived, and when you have compliments in the superlative coming your way, you breathe a sigh of relief. But that's the law of nature. You give something your best shot, go on no matter how hard it gets, and chances that you'll fail are minimal," philosophies Hrithik. Well, looks like Papa Roshan has the right attitude and some great lessons to teach his new-born beta!

Hrithik returns cheque to Adlabs

The buzz about the multi-crore deal that Hrithik had struck with Adlabs last year is that it's off! Hrithik wants to return the full amount to Adlabs. But the company is not willing to take a no for an answer.

According to a source, "Hrithik has given the cheque back. But they aren't accepting it. In fact they've asked him to keep the money and they'll make just one film instead of three films for that whole amount with him at a date convenient to him." Hrithik won't comment on the status of his deal with Adlabs.

All he says about star prices is, "The corporate companies are looking at the movie market expanding in the next 3-4 years. I agree many recent films haven't done well. But Om Shanti Om and Jodhaa-Akbar reaffirmed the industry's faith in big films. Jodhaa-Akbar was a period film and above three hours long with no commercial trappings. Theatres across India could've just four shows daily. And it's done 150 crore-rupee business worldwide. For me that's what matters, not the controversies that happened initially. It's my biggest hit ever overseas."

Hrithik to be the face of Mumbai Indians IPL team: report

Out of ideas but with very deep pockets, Mukesh Ambani has hired Hrithik Roshan to promote his IPL team - Mumbai Indians, for no other logical reason, we believe, than the fact that Shah Rukh Khan is promoting his own team - Kolkata Knight Riders.

Hrithik will feature in a promotional music video for Mumbai Indians, and is currently shooting for it at ND Studios in Karjat, reports the Mumbai Mirror.

According to the tabloid, Mukesh Ambani has put his personal chopper at Hrithik's disposal, to enable the star to beat the Mumbai traffic, during his commute to and from Karjat.

Our own sources tell us that Hrithik had planned to use the chopper on Sunday, April 6, but the trip was called off.

The promotional video includes a night sequence for which Hrithik flies to the set in the evening and returns early in the morning.

"We have chosen Hrithik to be the face of our team and shoot for the IPL anthem because he has the right persona and attitude," a source told Mumbai Mirror.

Out own attempts to confirm the story from Hrithik's flack, Parag Desai, drew a blank.

Equally out of ideas, but not with as deep pockets as Mukesh Ambani, is Kingfisher boss Vijay Mallya, who has roped in two of Bollywood's hottest actresses, Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone, for a music video to promote his Bangalore IPL team - Royal Challengers.

While the blending of Bollywood with cricket is sure to produce a heady mix of entertainment for nutty Indian audiences, it is unlikely to prove an elixir for the dismal state of sports in India, or the erratically performing Indian cricket team.
